Education
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. I completed my internship and residency at St John Hospital and Medical Center, and my Nephrology Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

I am an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, School of Medicine.  I am also Chief of Nephrology, Hypertension & Transplantation, Director of Nephrology Research and Director of Acute Dialysis Services at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI.

My Interests:
  • Anemia management in chronic kidney disease (CKD)
  • Applying quality measures to CKD care
  • Medical finance
  • Application of membrane technology to plasmapheresis
  • Low-dose immunosuppression in kidney transplantation
