The Metro Detroit kidney doctors of St. Clair Specialty Physicians provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. The primary focus of our practice is clinical and consult nephrology, and our other specialties include internal medicine, vascular surgery and oncology. Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art medical care by incorporating the science and art of medicine with compassion, integrity, and dignity for all of our patients.

Nephrology is a branch of Internal Medicine focusing on the kidney and its associated diseases. Your kidneys clean and purify the blood by removing waste products and extra fluid. When the kidneys are weak, waste and toxins remain in the blood and cause disease. Common kidney problems include:

• Chronic kidney disease
• High blood pressure
• Kidney stones
• Electrolyte imbalances

Nephrologists are physicians that trained in internal medicine and then pursued an additional two to three years of training solely on kidney disease. These highly trained doctors treat patients requiring dialysis and/or kidney transplantation.

We are dedicated to serving the communities in which our patients live by providing coordinated, integrated care for nephrology patients. We have five offices in the Metro-Detroit area for outpatient care. Our doctors also perform rounds at local dialysis centers and provide consultation services at nearby hospitals.
