2004 - AAKP Visionary Award

The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) Visionary Award pays tribute to a physician for outstanding performance in CKD education. Their 2004 recipient, Robert Provenzano, MD made a positive impact on kidney patients throughout the country. Dr. Provenzano was selected for his exemplary efforts in patient education. He is incoming president of the Renal Physicians Association and leaded the charge in educating family physicians on CKD diagnosis and early patient education. Through his work in developing a CKD tool kit for physicians, he has helped to ensure doctors and patients have tools to make important health decisions.
